Nature of our services

We Serve Papers provides process serving and skip tracing. We are not a law firm. We do not provide legal advice or legal services. Nothing on this site or in communications with us creates a solicitor-client relationship.

Acceptance of a file

We reserve the right to decline any file at our sole discretion, including files that appear to raise safety concerns, legal compliance concerns, or that fall outside our service footprint.

Payment and attempts

Quotes are calculated from our rate card at the time of acceptance. Payment covers the number of attempts specified in the accepted quote. Additional attempts beyond that number require an additional payment.

Affidavit of service

Affidavits of service are prepared and delivered within one business day of successful service. The affidavit is a factual record of what was served, when, where and how. We do not draft substantive legal documents for clients.

Limitation of liability

Our liability on any file is limited to the amounts paid by the client for that file. We do not accept liability for outcomes in the underlying legal matter.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the laws of Canada applicable therein.
